***Process times vary between next-day shipping and up to 3 weeks. Purchases are filled in the order they are received. Please understand I will do my best to fill as many orders as possible prior to the start of the knit along. However, I am a one-woman show so it’s possible it might take a bit longer. Thank you so much for your patience! I appreciate it very much.
I’m so excited to announce my very first knitwear pattern release!
I first began playing seriously with designing in 2021 so it’s absolutely thrilling to finally get to share a “real” design with you! Made with warm, squishy worsted weight wool yarn, this is your perfect winter hat.
Each kit includes:
- A download code for the pattern
- 1 – 100g skein of naturally dyed yarn
Here’s a look into my brand-new pattern:
With a name meaning “of the harvest,” this hat was inspired by my absolute favorite family outing—our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Whether you’re wandering the corn maze or enjoying a leisurely wagon ride, this worsted weight hat is designed to keep the whole family cozy and warm. And the simple cable pattern reminds me of the main event—pumpkins! This project is designed to be a quick, easy knit with only every fourth round requiring a bit of your attention for the cables.
The hat is knit from brim to crown, beginning with 2×2 ribbing. The body and crown feature a fun 3-stitch cable that is easy to knit with or without a cable needle. The cable pattern continues through the crown decreasing for a smooth, beautiful finish.
The cable stitches are simple 3-stitch cables and I’ve provided a video tutorial to show you how to knit them step-by-step. The only other stitches used are knits, purls, k2tog, and ssk. If using the suggested 2×2 Tubular Cast-On, you will also need to know how to sl1wyf and k1tbl. However, feel free to substitute your favorite cast-on method, including long-tail cast-on.
With six sizes to choose from, you can knit one for all your knit-worthy loved ones.
The pattern is fully written and charted, so you can take your pick to work from! Some of my testers liked to go back and forth between the two to make sure they were staying on track.
This hat is more than an accessory; it’s a connection to Mother Earth, a connection to our roots.
Cover your most precious head in the softness inspired by the land, and allow its beauty and warmth fill you with gratitude and love for all nature provides.
While I do my very best to recreate each skein to look like the next, they are dyed by hand with natural materials and can vary even within a single batch. You can be sure each one will be unique. It’s the best thing about knitting with nature! (Don’t forget: whenever you knit multi-skein projects, it’s best practice to alternate skeins every couple of rows.)
Please note: I do my absolute best to accurately photograph color. However, due to differences in screen displays, the yarn you receive may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.
As always, every skein purchased plants a tree through One Tree Planted AND $1 is donated to Harmony Farm Animal Sanctuary in Sisters, Oregon. Donations are made on the first Monday of the month. See Our Values for the most up-to-date information.

–> Each skein is 100 grams of rustic, yet soft, smooth and bouncy fingering (sock) weight wool yarn grown and milled in Wyoming. Yarn is lovingly dyed with natural materials ethically sourced and/or grown in my Central Oregon garden. The yarn wrap features plantable wildflower seed paper so that you can enjoy even more of nature’s beauty!
–> When you purchase one of our hanks of yarn, you’re supporting local ranchers and a woman-owned fiber mill to keep our small communities thriving. You’ll be creating on-trend projects while using dyes that are the gentlest on our environment by keeping our water sources clean. Knitting with this yarn will connect you so deeply to the sheep it will almost feel like you have one of your own!
–> This yarn is farm-fresh. It arrives full of vegetation leftover from the sheep’s shenanigans out in their field. I pick out as much as I can by hand, but there will likely be some leftover bits that I’ve missed. Just consider these extra love from the sheep! Baaaa…
–> Every effort will be made to package your order in an environmentally-friendly way using recycled and/or reused materials.
***Hand wash cool***
Great care was taken to ensure dye was set properly. However, it is normal for natural dye matter to continue to rinse for the first few washes.
